CRIPT
Description
The CRIPT (CXXC repeat containing interactor of PDZ3 domain) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 2.
Cysteine-rich PDZ-binding protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CRIPT gene. CRIPT has been shown to interact with DLG3. Human CRIPT genome location and CRIPT gene details page in the UCSC Genome Browser.
CRIPT is thought to play a role in the splicing of U12-type introns in pre-mRNAs as part of the minor spliceosome. It is also believed to be involved in the anchoring of DLG4 to the cytoskeleton in excitatory synapses.
CRIPT is also known as HSPC139, RTS3, SSMDF.
