CDH11

Description

The CDH11 (cadherin 11) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 16.

CDH11 is a gene that encodes Cadherin-11, a type II classical cadherin involved in calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion. Cadherin-11 plays a role in bone development and maintenance, and its overexpression is linked to some cancer types. It interacts with CDH2 and binds to the arthritis drug celecoxib.

CDH11 is also known as CAD11, CDHOB, ESWS, OB, OSF-4, TBHS2.
