CCDC32

Description

The CCDC32 (coiled-coil domain containing 32) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 15.

CCDC32 regulates the process of clathrin-mediated endocytosis, likely by interacting with and influencing the activity of adaptor protein complex 2 (AP-2), as shown by its role in the internalization of cargo molecules like transferrin (PubMed:33859415). Additionally, CCDC32 has a role in ciliogenesis (By similarity) and is essential for proper head (cephalic) and left/right body axis development (PubMed:32307552).

CCDC32 is also known as C15orf57, CFNDS.
